Texts by Jo Applin and Martin Coomer. Interview with the artist by Glenn Scott Wright

This two-volume publication was first published to mark and celebrate the two exhibitions of work by Yayoi Kusama at the Victoria Miro Gallery in 2007 and 2008. The revised edition coincides with Yayoi Kusama's touring retrospective which opened at the Reina Sofia, Madrid in 2011 and travelled to the Centre Pompidou, Paris and Tate Modern, London and is currently on show at the Whitney Museum, New York.

The first volume focuses on Kusama's Infinity Net paintings and includes installation views and images of all the sculptures and installations in the 2007/2008 exhibition. It also includes a substantial essay by the UK academic and art historian Jo Applin. Her essay situates Kusama's work in the context of European abstract painting, and discusses the remarkable new silkscreens and sculptures in relation to Kusama's earlier practice.  The second volume includes a new text by Martin Coomer and an interview between Yayoi Kusama and Gallery Director Glenn Scott Wright about this new body of work.
