Part of a.p.r.e.s. editions’s Work & Process series, this DVD provides approximately two hours of viewing and is comprised of Wide details, on the traces of Francis Alÿs, a documentary film directed by Julien Devaux which views Mexico City through the eyes of Alÿs; an interview with Mexican writer Carlos Monsiváis about the artist and the historic center of Mexico City; The Collector, a video project by Alÿs; a discussion by Canadian curator Kitty Scott on the artist’s series of paintings titled Le temps du sommeil; and The Thief, a downloadable screensaver created by Alÿs for a project sponsored by the Dia Art Foundation.
