This publication is exclusively devoted to Diana Thater’s Broken Circle, a major installation specially designed by the artist for the group exhibition Skulptur. Projekte in Münster 1997 (Münster Sculpture Project 1997). Originally installed in Münster’s Buddenturm, a 12th-century tower, Broken Circle is composed of six synchronized projectors that show simultaneous images of a herd of horses. The work was then installed in the old stair tower of the Museum für Gegenwartskunst Siegen from 2001-2005. Published in conjunction with the 2004 survey of Thater’s work concurrently presented in Siegen and the Kunsthalle Bremen, this catalogue includes an essay by art historian Anne Hoormann. Published in German only.
