Text by Moritz Wesseler. Conversation with the artist and Stefan Kalmár
The films and videos of Jordan Wolfson combine the strategies of conceptual art with personal and often deeply emotional content. Working in live-action, animation, digital video, and film, Wolfson has produced a body of psychologically complex works in which images and language undergo dream-like repetitions and rehearsals. Wolfson’s tightly constructed dramas suggest not only our shared cultural anxieties but also our innermost private fears.
